UFI LATAM Conference 2023: A Milestone Event in San José, Costa Rica

The UFI LATAM Conference 2023, organised by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, took place from April 25 to 27 in San José, Costa Rica. This event brought together over 110 industry leaders from 18 countries to share insights, participate in workshops, and network.

Industry Evolution and Future Trends

The conference began with discussions on the rapid changes in the exhibition industry, focusing on future trends and strategies. Sessions covered a wide range of topics, including marketing strategies, data-driven event development, and sustainability initiatives like the “Net Zero Carbon Events.”

Networking Opportunities

In addition to the sessions, the conference facilitated extensive networking. Two dedicated matchmaking sessions led to 412 meetings among participants. Social events, including a night at San José’s Parque de Diversiones, provided further opportunities for connections.

Exploring San José

Attendees also had the chance to explore San José through a post-conference tour, visiting the historic Doka coffee plantation and the La Paz Waterfalls Park, showcasing Costa Rica’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.

Looking Forward

The UFI LATAM Conference 2023 concluded with a focus on bridging Latin American and U.S. exhibition markets in the UFI Americas Conference, which will take place in Monterrey, Mexico, between 10 and 12 September 2024.
