Grand Award Winner of the 2019 International Fair Poster Competition: Informa Markets
Paris, 28 September 2022: International Fair Plovdiv and UFI, The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, have jointly announced “Experience the rush”, by Senior Art Director, Parag Bandodkar and Senior Visualiser, Kamlesh Murudkar, from Informa Markets India as the Grand Winner of the 24th International Fair Poster Competition.
The competition, returning for the first time since the onset of the pandemic, celebrates creativity and originality of modern exhibition marketing, in the classical poster format. The 2022 theme, fittingly, was the “promotion of the exhibition industry on the subject of ‘face-to-face’ or post-pandemic recovery.”
The jury evaluated the entries based on topic interpretation, design concept, originality and integrity of technical parameters. They were particularly impressed by the relevant concept and clever execution of “Experience the rush”, depicting a crowded fair reflected in a man’s animated eyes.
Kostadin Otonov, Chairman of the International Fair Poster (IFP) Jury, Poster Artist, Poster lecturer, Academy of Fine Art commented: “We were very happy to see the quality and depth of entries this year. Congratulations to the team at Informa Markets India for their follow-up win from 2019.”
The jury selected “Togetherness”, photographed by Fabio Silva and designed by Studio MI-IN Design from Portojóia, Exponor (Portugal) as the runner-up. “Book Fair”, from Bella Center Copenhagen, followed in third place.

Grand Award Winner of the 2019 International Fair Poster Competition: Informa Markets
The Grand Award winner of the 23rd International Fair Poster Competition was Informa Markets from India for the poster “Calling Bell”, created by Parag Bandodkar, Senior Art Director, MacNeil Kapila Senior Copywriter and Sarthak Had, Senior Designer.
In 2019, there were 50 entries from 11 exhibition organisers in 9 countries. The jury evaluated all eligible posters based on the following assessment criteria:
– Interpretation of the exhibition topic.
– The design concept.
– Integrity and original presentation of the event’s technical parameters, dates, venue, and exhibition name.

At the 86th UFI Global Congress on 6-9 November 2019 in Bangkok (Thailand), the Grand Award winner received a unique statuette created by Bulgarian sculptor Yanko Nenov. All winners received certificates.

Grand Award Winners of the 2018 International Fair Poster Competition: Expoforum International & Ifema – Feria de Madrid take up first place in two different categories
The jury of the 22nd International Fair Poster Competition, in collaboration with UFI, has announced this year’s Grand Award winners. In the first category, Expoforum International in Russia was recognised for its “Nested Russian Doll” poster, created by the Design sector of Expoforum. Feria de Madrid was recognised in the second category for its “Fruit Attraction” poster series, designed by Javier Peñas and Ifema.
The jury evaluated all eligible posters based on the following assessment criteria:
- Interpretation of the exhibition topic;
- Design concept;
- Integrity and original presentation of the event’s technical parameters, dates, venue, exhibition name, etc.

At the 85th UFI Global Congress that will be held on 31 October to 3 November 2018 in St. Petersburg (Russia), the Grand Award winners will receive a unique statuette created by Bulgarian sculptor Yanko Nenov. Certificates will also be awarded to all winners.
